In an announcement on the Diablo II forums, Blizzard has unveiled a new patch for the almost 16 year old game.
"This update focuses on system glitches introduced by modern operating systems. In related news, you can finally retire those old Mac PowerPCs. Included with the update is a shiny new installer for OSX."
Woohoo! Diablo II is now playable again on Mac, without having to resort to wrapping hijinks or older versions of OS X.
If you don't own any of Blizzards classic games, you can get them fairly cheaply through the classic section of the Blizzard store.
Feast your eyes on the opening cinematic for Diablo II. Trust me, 16 years ago this was AMAZING.
